Regret and Frustration Grip SBC as Sifubya’s Tactics Come Under Scrutiny
Samia Bugwe Central –
In the aftermath of the last election in SBC, many residents are voicing deep regret over the way their votes were swayed, pointing fingers at Sifubya’s manipulative tactics that won him the seat. By tugging at the heartstrings of voters and exploiting their sympathy, Sifubya managed to secure victory, but the move has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many.
"He played us," one resident said. "We thought he would stand for us, but now we realize he just wanted power. He fooled us into thinking he cared."
The frustrations among the locals are not only tied to Sifubya’s manipulation of emotions, but also to what they describe as his current destructive approach to leadership. Sifubya is now accused of employing unruly individuals who engage in verbal assaults and public ridicule against emerging leaders within the region, individuals who might otherwise stand a chance at leading SBC toward a better future.
"He has surrounded himself with people like Daniel hahigi ( the leper)who do nothing but abuse and disrespect anyone who shows true leadership potential. It’s shameful," said another local elder, clearly distressed by the situation.
The tension is particularly heightened as the 2026 elections approach, with several would-be leaders facing constant attacks, blackmail and threats from Sifubya’s camp.
Many in the constituency are now questioning their choices, reflecting on the bitter lessons learned from Sifubya’s tenure. The concern is palpable as discussions shift toward how the people can reclaim their power and make better choices in the upcoming elections. It is a critical moment for SBC, where hope for change is battling against the scars left by a past of manipulation.
"I hope this time we’ll be wiser," a young member of the SBC TOP Brigade commented. "We deserve a leader who listens, not one who manipulates us."
As Samia Bugwe Central prepares for another round of political contest, the regret over past decisions is fueling a determination among the people to ensure their next choice for leadership is one that reflects the true values and aspirations of the region
